Savoury snacks can be part of a
balanced diet
They are tasty, convenient and fun but should be regarded as treats that are consumed in moderation. ESA members are committed to playing their part in helping people to build balanced diets.
Their biggest contribution to this is through their diverse product portfolios. Our members are continually investing in order to improve the taste and nutritional quality of their products. This happens through reformulating standard products and innovating to provide products that have an improved nutritional composition.
It is also important to our members to provide consumers with consistent, factual, science-based nutrition information so that they can make informed choices. They can also make a difference by promoting healthy diets and lifestyles as part of their consumer communication policy, and by participating and financing national initiatives, sports, education and exercise programmes.
