ESA membership is open to any global manufacturer of potato chips (crisps), savoury snacks and/or snack nut products and to companies which supply the industry with ingredients, flavours and processing / packaging equipment or other related services.

Any trade association or trade organisation whose members are wholly or mainly engaged in the processing of savoury snack products may also be eligible for membership.

ESA offers three categories of membership according to company activity.

Business membership

Business members include any individual, partnership, firm or corporation engaged in the processing of potato chips (crisps), edible nuts and / or savoury snack products. A non-exhaustive list would include potato chips (crisps), tortillas, pretzels, popcorn, pellet snacks, savoury crackers, and meat snacks.

Associate membership

Associate members include any partnership, firm or corporation engaged in the manufacture or sale of machinery, packaging or supplies for the potato processing, edible nut or snack food industry or in the production of potatoes or other raw materials used in the manufacture of potato products, edible nuts or savoury snack foods.

Trade association membership

Any trade association or trade organisations whose members are wholly or mainly engaged in the processing of potato chips (crisps), edible nuts and / or savoury snack products may qualify as trade association members.

Companies wishing to join ESA are invited to make a formal application for the appropriate category of membership using the application form alongside.

The completed application form together with a fully completed database questionnaire should then be sent to ESA along with the appropriate payment.

All correctly completed applications will be referred to the ESA board of directors for their approval. Once approved the successful applicant is entitled to the full range of ESA membership benefits.
